Delete Your RIZIG Account
Last updated: June 3, 2026
You can request deletion of your RIZIG account and associated personal data at any time. This page explains how to do it, what gets removed, and what we are required to keep.
1. Delete From Within the App (Fastest)
The fastest way to delete your account is from inside the RIZIG mobile or web app:
- Open the RIZIG app on your phone or visit app.rizig.com and sign in.
- Open Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion request.
What happens next depends on your account type:
- Client accounts — deletion is immediate. Your authentication is removed and your profile is anonymized right away.
- Administrator accounts (org owners and team admins) — your account enters a 30-day grace period during which you can sign back in and cancel the request from Settings. After 30 days, deletion is finalized. If you are the last administrator of an organization, the entire organization and all of its records are deleted at that time.
2. Delete by Email Request
If you no longer have access to the app, email us from the address associated with your account:
Include the subject line "Account deletion request" and confirm the email address tied to your account. We will verify your identity, process the request within 7 business days, and email confirmation when deletion is complete.
3. What Gets Deleted
When your deletion request is finalized, we permanently remove:
- Your authentication account (email, password, OAuth tokens, push tokens)
- Your profile information (name, phone, profile photo)
- Personal preferences and notification settings
- Photos, audio notes, and files you uploaded
- Messages you sent or received
- If you are the last administrator of an organization, the entire organization and all of its records (jobs, projects, invoices, estimates, leads, contacts, contracts) are deleted along with your account
4. What Is Retained, and Why
Some data is retained after account deletion because we are legally required to keep it or because removing it would compromise records belonging to other parties. This includes:
- Invoices and payment records — retained for up to 7 years to comply with US federal and Florida state tax and accounting record-keeping requirements.
- Audit logs — anonymized records of significant actions are retained for up to 2 years for security, fraud prevention, and compliance.
- Aggregated, de-identified data — usage statistics that cannot be linked back to you may be retained indefinitely.
- Org-level records when you are not the last admin — if your organization continues operating after you leave, business records you created (jobs, contracts, notes) remain with the organization. Your personal identifiers are removed from those records and replaced with a generic "Deleted user" label.
5. Timing
- Client deletion: immediate. Auth is removed and the profile is anonymized as soon as you confirm.
- Administrator deletion: 30-day cancellation grace period, then permanent.
- Email request: processed within 7 business days of identity verification.
- Backup expiration: any residual copies in encrypted backups are overwritten on rolling schedules and are fully gone within 90 days.
