RIZIG ("we," "us," or "our") operates the RIZIG mobile application and the website at rizig.com (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and company name. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email from the identity provider.
Business Data
You may enter contacts, leads, job details, estimates, invoices, notes, photos, and other business records into the Service. This data belongs to you and is stored on your behalf.
Device Permissions
We may request access to the following device features, only when you use functionality that requires them:
- Camera & Photos — to capture and upload job site documentation and project photos.
- Contacts — to import client contact information into your RIZIG account.
- Location — to associate job records with site addresses and provide location-based features.
- Push Notifications — to send you alerts about job updates, messages, and task reminders.
- Microphone — to record audio notes attached to job records.
You can revoke any of these permissions at any time through your device settings.
Usage Data
We automatically collect device type, operating system, app version, crash reports, and general usage patterns to improve the Service. We use third-party error tracking and crash reporting services to monitor stability.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. We group them into the following categories:
- Strictly necessary — required for the site to function (for example, session and security cookies used during checkout with our payment processor). These are always on and cannot be disabled.
- Analytics — analytics cookies (named
_gaand_ga_*) help us understand which pages and features are useful so we can improve the site. IP addresses are anonymized. Off until you opt in. - Marketing — used to measure advertising performance. Off by default and only enabled if you opt in.
When you first visit the site we ask for your consent through a banner. You can change your choice at any time by clicking Cookie settings in the footer. We use an industry-standard consent management framework, which means analytics and advertising tags will not store cookies on your device until you grant consent.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
- Authenticate your identity and manage your account.
- Send push notifications and transactional emails you have opted into.
- Monitor and improve performance, stability, and security.
- Respond to support requests and communicate with you.
- Comply with legal obligations.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in the following circumstances:
- Service Providers — we work with vetted third-party providers for cloud infrastructure (authentication, database, file storage), payment processing, error monitoring, communications delivery, and push notifications. These providers process data on our behalf under contractual agreements and their own privacy policies. A current list of subprocessors is available upon request to support@rizig.com.
- Legal Requirements — we may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or legal process.
- Business Transfers — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure located in the United States. We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel with role-based access controls.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account and business data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Export your data in a portable format.
- Opt out of non-essential communications.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@rizig.com.
7. SMS / Text Messaging
If you provide your mobile phone number and consent to SMS messaging, RIZIG and the contractors who use the RIZIG platform may send you transactional text messages related to your account and business interactions.
Program Description
SMS messages may include appointment confirmations, job status updates, invoice notifications, payment receipts, scheduling reminders, and other service-related communications from a contractor you have engaged through the RIZIG platform.
Message Frequency
Message frequency is recurring and varies based on your account activity and the contractors you interact with. You will only receive messages triggered by your account activity or by an authorized contractor on the RIZIG platform.
Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier may charge you for messages sent or received depending on your plan. RIZIG does not charge you for SMS messages.
Opt-In
You opt in to SMS messages by providing your mobile phone number and giving clear consent to receive text messages, typically through a checkbox or other affirmative action at the time your contact record is created on the RIZIG platform. Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of any purchase.
Opt-Out — Reply STOP
You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT to any message you receive. After opting out you will receive a one-time confirmation message and will not receive further SMS messages unless you re-subscribe.
Help — Reply HELP
For help, reply HELP to any message or contact us at support@rizig.com. We will respond with information about the messaging program and how to opt out.
Supported Carriers
SMS messaging is supported on major US carriers including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, US Cellular, Sprint, and others. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy of SMS Data
Your mobile phone number and the contents of your SMS communications are treated as personal information under this Privacy Policy. We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number with third parties for their marketing purposes. SMS opt-in information is never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
